The Utility District's functions and responsibilities are performed by three divisions:
The Administration Division is responsible for the planning and coordination of the day-to-day operations of the department, along with department record keeping, budgeting, long-range capitol planning and payroll.
The Water Treatment Division is responsible for the daily operation of the City's water system. This involves the operation of our Class "A" Level II Lime Softening Treatment Plant with a capacity of 17.5 million gallons per day. The City's drinking water is obtained from 27 ground production wells and three repump stations.
The Distribution Division is responsible for repairing existing and installing new water mains and managing a Back-Flow Prevention Program. The Meter Section handles Customer Service, meter repairs and customer complaints.
It is the division's mission to produce and distribute safe and pleasant drinking water that meets the strictest local and federal requirements and to ensure this quality service to all residents in the service area.
The Sewage Collection Division is responsible for the maintenance of sewer lines and sewer pumping stations, as well as the installation of new service connections and inspection of new sewer tie-ins from the owner's lines to the City's Main.
