A Closed Executive Session was announced at the February 18, 2026 Regular City Council Meeting. The City Council of the City of Riviera Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida, authorized the calling of the below session as outlined to be held at the Riviera Beach Marina Event Center, located at 190 East 13th Street, Riviera Beach, Florida 33404, to be noticed by the City Clerk as follows: 

 

CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION

DISCUSSIONS 

 

POLICE BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION (PBA) LABOR NEGOTIATIONS 

 

The Following Will Be In Attendance: 

 

Honorable Mayor Douglas Lawson & City Council Members 

City Manager, Jonathan Evans 

Assistant City Manager, Deirdre Jacobs and/or Assistant City Manager, Kevin Coppin 

City Attorney, Dawn S. Wynn, Esq. and/or Assistant City Attorney, Corey Smith, Esq. 

Special Counsel: Brett Schneider, Esq. of Weiss, Serota, Helfman, Cole, & Bierman 

Union Negotiating Team Members – Chief of Police, Michael Coleman 

Human Resources Director, Tennille DeCoste 

Finance Director, Randy Sherman and/or Assistant Finance Director, Nydia Reynolds 

 

The subject matter of the Closed Executive Session shall be restricted to Police Benevolent Association Discussions.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE AND BE ADVISED that if any interested person desires to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered at this session, such interested person, at their own expense, will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which form includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, according to F.S. 286.0105.
