RIVIERA BEACH OPENS NEW PERMIT CENTER ON SECOND FLOOR OF CITY HALL FOR COMMUNITY CONVENIENCE
RIVIERA BEACH, FL. (Nov. 9, 2021) – The City of Riviera Beach has transformed the obsolete City Council Chambers into a new Permit Center one-stop-shop that serves as a modernized space to swiftly process the community’s Development Service needs.
The new City Hall location, 600 W. Blue Heron Blvd., includes a Customer Service Help Desk that opened earlier this month, which serves as a first point of contact to greet citizens and to connect them with the correct staff member for assistance.
“The one-stop-shop allows us to pool our resources to elevate the level of service given to our citizens,” Development Services Operations Manager Grace Joyce said of the center, adding a Business Tax Receipt office will move into the Permit Center early next year.
“It also provides them an inviting environment to conduct all their Development Service’s needs,” Joyce said.
The permit center officially opened its doors on Oct. 15, moving from a smaller space in City Hall. City Council meetings are currently held at the larger Riviera Beach Marina Village Event Center, 190 E 13th St., to allow for social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
