10/17/2022 - Ian Supply Drive on Oct. 27
The City of Riviera Beach is rushing to the aid of Hurricane Ian survivors to provide relief after the colossal storm ripped through the State’s West Coast leaving death and destruction in its wake.

The City is holding a Hurricane Ian supply drive where the public can drop off essential items at City Fire Stations starting Monday, Oct. 17 through Thursday, Oct. 27 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Items needed include new air mattresses with hand pumps, sleeping bags, blankets, cleaning supplies, buckets, toilet tissue, paper towels, portable chargers, masks, gloves, mops, diapers, baby wipes, baby formula, water, flashlights, batteries, packing boxes, tape and cleaning rags.

“As a native coastal Floridian, I understand all too well the impact of hurricanes, not just in the moment of impact, but in the months that follow,” said Riviera Beach Mayor Ronnie Felder, who is organizing the drive. “I don’t just look at my community as the people that live within our City, but also those that share our experiences.”

“That’s why I previously supported aid to the Bahamas, Haiti, Louisiana and now the Fort Myers area,” Felder said. “I am always willing to lend a hand, because you never know when disaster could end up on your front porch.” The City of Riviera Beach is rushing to the aid of Hurricane Ian survivors to provide relief after the colossal storm ripped through the State’s West Coast leaving death and destruction in its wake.
