11/15/2022 - Riviera Beach Rebranding with Community Input

RIVIERA BEACH REBRANDING WITH HELP FROM THE COMMUNITY

RIVIERA BEACH, FL. (Nov. 15, 2022) – The City of Riviera Beach has embarked on an exciting endeavor to rebrand the 100-year-old municipality and is seeking community input in a survey to help shape the future of the City.

Riviera Beach earlier this year began the research-driven, community-wide identity initiative. This effort will help Riviera Beach stand out in the marketplace as the City grows toward its preferred future. The City’s goal is to increase interest and investment in the community from residents, entrepreneurs, companies and visitors.

Currently, the City's rebranding contractor, North Star, is conducting research inside and outside the community to uncover perceptions, attitudes and what’s unique about Riviera Beach. Through dozens of meetings with the community and City officials since July, North Star has tailored a survey to garner further input from the public. The survey, available at www.brandingrivierabeach.com, is an important component of the research and rebranding initiative that informs how the organization can best communicate the benefits of the City in the future.

The survey is the community’s opportunity to let their voices be heard. The public’s input during the roughly 8-month process will determine the City’s new brand, website, logo and more. The City Council earlier this year approved an $85,000 contract with NorthStar after the City solicited the undertaking.

I’m excited about the current rebranding efforts led by our staff and Council. This is a vital part of our City’s ability to attract tourism, redevelop and increase economic opportunities,” Mayor Ronnie Felder said. “Riviera Beach is a diverse community, easily accessible by various methods of transportation, rich in natural resources on our beautiful coastline and affordable to families. It’s time that we are known for those things across the nation.”

The confidential survey takes roughly 5 minutes to complete and is open to all members of the community. The information is collected anonymously and presented in an aggregate form. The public’s input in this process is vital to help the community understand what makes Riviera Beach appealing to key audiences.
