12/1/2022 - Riviera Beach Implements Anonymous Hotline

RIVIERA BEACH, FL. (Dec. 1, 2022) In an effort to ensure all employees feel safe in their work environment and comfortable raising their concerns, the City’s Office of the Internal Auditor has launched a new hotline to report fraud, waste and abuse that incorporates best practices in governance and enhances and encourages an ethical workplace.

The City has partnered with an independent third-party company, whose team of professionals live-answers hotline calls in English, French, and Spanish 24/7. The service will be provided through IntegrityCounts, which will facilitate reporting by employees, vendors, volunteers and other stakeholders of suspected misconduct relating to any of the City’s operations. Misconduct could include asset misappropriation, corruption, financial fraud and abuse. Callers can remain anonymous if they choose.

"Good government starts with each and every one of us,” said Elena Georgiev, the City’s Internal Auditor.

The hotline ensures that concerns can be raised without individuals being subjected to retaliation, harassment or discriminatory treatment. Reports will be investigated by the Office of the Internal Auditor. The Auditor will use the vendor's private and secure internal messaging system to communicate with the reporter to capture more information and investigate the case to completion.

Anyone can report a concern by calling 1-866-899-6997, visiting
