RIVIERA BEACH MLK JR. PARADE ROAD CLOSURES AND PREFERRED VIEWING
AREAS
RIVIERA BEACH, FL. (Jan. 12, 2023) – The City of Riviera Beach is excited to announce the
return of the MLK Jr. Day Parade after a resurgence of COVID-19 cases caused the City to
cancel last year’s celebration of the Civil Rights Leader.
The parade will kick off on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and proceed from Congress
Avenue along Blue Heron Boulevard to Avenue L. The preferred viewing area is on the south
side of Blue Heron Boulevard and Avenue L.side of Blue Heron Boulevard and Avenue L.
Congress Avenue will be closed from Canopy Lane to 13th Street and Blue Heron Boulevard
will be closed from Garden Road to President Barack Obama Highway from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Individuals not attending the parade are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternative
routes.
Designated parking areas will be located on Avenue L behind the viewing area and at the Post
Office at Congress Avenue and W. Blue Heron Boulevard. A trolley service will shuttle
spectators to and from the northwest corner of Congress Avenue and W. Blue Heron Boulevard
and W. Blue Heron Boulevard and Avenue L.
A water station will be located at the UPS parking lot. Mobile restrooms will be located at the
Post Office, Imperial Lot and Avenue L.
