THE CITY OF RIVIERA BEACH IS RE-OPENING THE POLICE CHIEF APPLICATION

RIVIERA BEACH, FL. (March 2, 2023) – In an effort of transparency, we want to communicate and inform the public that as of today, Thursday March 2, 2023 we are reposting the position of Police Chief for the City of Riviera Beach for a seven-day period. There was an error that occurred in the early stages of the screening process that did not follow the Florida State Statutes. The short-listed candidates have been notified and will be given the opportunity to re-apply.

We ask that those interested in the opportunity please apply within the allotted time. The Office of the City Manager and The Office of the City Attorney will manage the process.

Once the application closes, it should take an additional two weeks to conclude the normal background and screening procedure before a final decision is made.
