6/16/2023 - Riviera beach Seize Illegal Drugs and Firearms
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: RIVIERA BEACH POLICE SEIZE ILLEGAL DRUGS AND FIREARMS RIVIERA BEACH, FL. (June 16, 2023) – The Riviera Beach Police Department once again showed their dedication in keeping their community safe by making a substantial seizure of illegal drugs and firearms in the 500 Block of West 2nd Street. Acting on information provided by one of our officers on Thursday, June 15, 2023, the Vice Unit was able to obtain a search warrant and carry out a successful operation thanks to the outstanding efforts of two officers, as well as our Crime Scene Professionals. The seizure drew a significant number of illegal narcotics off our streets, which included a whopping 22.2 grams of Fentanyl, 4.8 grams of MDPV, and three firearms along with ammunition, magazines, and drug processing equipment. The search not only resulted in confiscated evidence, but Richard Johnson was also taken into custody at the Palm Beach County jail and was charged with trafficking Fentanyl, possession of MDPV, three counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Child Neglect, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The minor was removed from the residence by DCF investigators. This successful raid not only keeps our community safe from harmful substances, but also serves as a testament to the tireless efforts of our police officers to fight illegal drug use.
