(September 21, 2023) – The residents of Riviera Beach are in for a treat as the much-anticipated ribbon cutting ceremony for Lone Pine Park's remarkable improvements is set to take place. Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 30, 2023 as the festivities kick-off promptly at 10:00 a.m. at 250 Canterbury Drive West Riviera Beach, Fl 33407. Residents and visitors alike are invited to witness the finale of months of hard work and dedication. The park has undergone extensive enhancements, aimed at providing an even more enjoyable experience for all. The highlight of these improvements is the brand-new walking trail, designed to encourage the community's active lifestyle and foster a sense of unity. The meandering path, amidst lush greenery, offers a perfect escape for individuals of all ages seeking comfort or a refreshing workout. But that's not all - families will be thrilled to discover the newly added playground equipment, thoughtfully curated to spark joy and endless fun for children. With swings, slides, climbing structures, exercising equipment and more, adventure awaits every young explorer. With a firm commitment to sustainable practices, the park has introduced improved irrigation systems, ensuring the preservation of its scenic landscapes while efficiently utilizing natural resources. Huurr Homes is the contractor and the $390,611 for this project was funded by Florida Recreation Development Assistance program, Recreational Trails Grant Program, and The City of Riviera Beach.
