WASTEWATER SPILL NOTICE

PUBLIC NOTICE

The public is hereby notified of a 16-inch force main break and wastewater spill located at Park Avenue, Riviera Beach, a known part of Singer Island. The break is near the Utility Special District’s Lift Station #10, located between Yacht Harbor Drive and S. Harbor Drive.

The spill has affected surface streets, ground, water bodies (Intracoastal Waterway/Lake Worth Lagoon), and nearby storm drains and stormwater systems in the area.

Therefore, due to potential contamination, the public is advised to refrain from using the affected water bodies. Recreational activities such as fishing and swimming are prohibited until further notice.

Street traffic is limited in this area due to the spill and ongoing assessment, repair, and cleanup activities. Please exercise caution in the area at this time as utility crews and contractors are currently onsite conducting assessment, repair, and cleanup activities. Repairs and cleanup will be ongoing throughout the day.

This notice will remain in effect until it is rescinded. The Utility Special District will keep the public updated as necessary.
