Traftic Advisory and Update for MLK Parade on January 18, 2025 A sewer break occurred yesterday at approximately 2 p.m. at the northwest corner of the MLK or. BIva and Avenue U intersection. As a result, the westbound lanes of MLK or. Bivd trom Avenue to Congress Avenue remain closed to facilitate emergency sewer utifty repairs.

Trattic Advisory and Update for MLK Parade on January 18, 2025 Impact on the MLK Parade The parade scheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 10 a.m. will proceed with adjusted viewing areas: • Spectators can view the parade from the south side of MLK Bivd between Congress Avenue and Avenue O. (Spectators are NoT allowed to be on median or roadway) Spectators can watch from both the north and south sides of MLK Bivd. from Avenue S to Avenue P. Traffic Advisory and Update for MLK Parade on January 18, 2025
A sewer break occurred yesterday at approximately 2 p.m. at the northwest corner of the MLK Jr. Blvd and Avenue U intersection. As a result, the westbound lanes of MLK Jr. Blvd from Avenue S to Congress Avenue remain closed to facilitate emergency sewer utility repairs.
Motorist Detour Information
Drivers are being redirected via:
  • Northbound to Avenue S
  • Westbound on W. 10th Street
  • Northbound on Avenue U
  • Westbound on W. 12th Street to Congress Avenue
Impact on the MLK Parade
