COUNTY-WIDE WEBSITE LAUNCHED TO HELP LOCAL COMPANIES NAVIGATE COVID19
April 16, 2020 - PALM BEACH COUNTY - As businesses across our region and the globe continue to respond to the COVID-19 crisis, the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, in partnership with Palm Beach County, local chambers of commerce and municipalities, is launching www.BizHelpPBC.com to assist companies in their efforts to access assistance needed for full recovery.
As a first step in this program, the Business Development Board aims to inform the broader business community about federal programs and other opportunities designed to help companies weather and recover from the COVID-19 crisis. Over the past weeks, several federal lending programs have been enacted to aid businesses and their employees who have been affected by the coronavirus. The most recent is the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which, among the provisions, allocates $350 billion to help small businesses keep workers employed amid the pandemic and associated economic downturn.
As the COVID-19 situation evolves, the Business Development Board is committed to being a valuable, timely resource to the Palm Beach County business community. We will continue to provide weekly updates containing news and resources as well as hold a 2pm Town Hall call every Friday. We encourage the business community to tap into these resources and to bookmark www.BizHelpPBC.com where we will be updating information around recovery efforts.
