CONTINUANCE OF THE CODE COMPLIANCE HEARING

HELD SEPTEMBER 8, 2020

TO BE HELD VIA COMMUNICATION MEDIA TECHNOLOGY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Riviera Beach, Florida, Department of Development Services, Code Compliance Division will Continue the Code Compliance Hearing held September 8, 2020 on September 10, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. utilizing communications media technology (“CMT”). The Special Magistrate, the parties, their representatives and witnesses will be attending the hearing utilizing Zoom Meeting platform. 

This is based upon guidance issued by the President of the United States; the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; and the Governor of the State of Florida, Ron DeSantis’ Executive Order No. 20-69, dated March 20, 2020, pertaining to conducting local government meetings while under the public health emergency related the spread of Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID- 19), and upon the consent and agreement of the affected parties to the contested code compliance cases.

The hearings will be televised, with Closed Captioning, on Channel 18 (Comcast), Channel 99 (AT&T U-verse), Hotwire Communications, and Riviera Beach TV YouTube page.

Public Comments:

1.     Any member of the public wishing to provide public comment on a case to be heard at the hearings shall submit their comment(s) by email to City Code Compliance Technician at lphillips@rivierabeach.org.  The email shall contain the applicable case number(s) or property owner name(s) along with the precise wording to be read into the record; explicit language will not be read. General public comment is not authorized; emails without applicable case number(s) or party name(s) will NOT be read. Please be advised that public comments will be accepted until the start of the hearings at 9 A.M. After 9 A.M., no further public comment will be authorized.

 

2.     All email addresses and submitted comments are and will be public record (see Chapters 119 & 668, Florida Statutes).

 

3.     The City Code Compliance Technician or designee will read public comments into the record at the appropriate time for no more than three (3) minutes unless the time limit is reduced by the Special Magistrate.
