Dr. Glen Spiritis, Council Member

Glen Spiritis, with 30 years of government experience, is the newest elected member to the Riviera Beach City Council. He has previously served as a Former City Manager, Director of Transportation, and Public Works Director. Additionally, he was the former owner of a marina and a developer who specializes in affordable housing, and has served on several city and community boards.

Dr. Glen Spiritis has an impressive education resume, with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) & Master of Science (MS) Degree in Urban and Environmental Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York in 1986 and 1975 respectively. He also holds a Professional Degree (PD) in School Administration and Supervision from Long Island University, New York in 1986, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from Long Island University, New York in 1973.

Dr. Spiritis is married to Jo-Ann Spiritis and they have been residents of Riviera Beach for 24 years. He is well-acquainted with the issues that are important to the residents of Riviera Beach and wants to put his knowledge and experience to work for them. He aims to fight for the issues that are important to the residents and help protect and preserve the beautiful waterfront community of Riviera Beach.
