What We Do

The Building Services Division enforces construction related codes, reviews development plans and all building related permit issues. Building Services is also responsible for the issuance of certificates of occupancy while performing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building inspections.

Burglar Alarm Permit

Please note that the Burglar Alarm Permits are now renewed and paid with Cry Wolf. The City has partnered with Cry Wolf for alarm prevention and administrative services.

• Alarm permits are valid for one year (October 1st - September 30th of each year).
• Burglar Alarm Permits that are not renewed by September 30th are delinquent and subjected to applicable fees and penalties.
• For assistance in paying or renewing your alarm permit, please contact Cry Wolf at (866) 419-5033.

Cry Wolf offers three ways to start or renew your alarm permit:

If you have any questions concerning your Certificate of Use, Business Tax Receipt, please contact the Business Tax office at (561) 845-4019 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Flood Information

Please contact us with questions on basic flood information, the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM), and the Community Rating System (CRS). This brochure introduces the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Community Rating System (CRS) as a way of promoting the awareness of flood insurance.
