The Fleet Services Division is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all the City-owned vehicles and equipment and also manages an automatic fueling facility that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. (This facility is inspected and regulated by the State of Florida and Palm Beach County.)

Functional responsibilities:

• Utilizing a fleet management system to coordinate the repair of vehicles and to manage the inventory of repair parts
  
• Performing bumper-to-bumper inspections and all necessary safety repairs
  
• Performing routine preventative maintenance checks
  
• Tracking fuel and lubricant usage for the City's vehicles
  
• Managing a stockroom of repair parts for fleet and equipment
  
• Storing up to 30,000 gallons of gasoline and 15,000 gallons of diesel fuel
  
• Recycling used oil, filters, anti-freeze and air conditioning gases
  
• Performing preventative maintenance services and major and minor repairs on all City-owned vehicles and equipment
